2026 Standard Mileage Rates

The mileage rates used to calculate the deductible costs of operating an automobile for business, charitable, medical or moving purposes have changed for the 2026 calendar year.

Beginning January 1, 2026, the standard mileage rates for the use of a car (including vans, pickups or panel trucks) is:

• .72.5 cents per mile for business use (business standard mileage rate).
• .20.5 cents per mile for medical or moving purposes for qualified active-duty members of the Armed Forces.
• .14 cents per mile driven in service of charitable organizations.
